15 Oct150th Anniversary: The Battle of Chancellorsville Website Launch

On May 3-5, 2013, the Chancellorsville campaign will return to Spotsylvania, 150 years after the original battle.

We’re proud to introduce the new Battle of Chancellorsville reenactment website. Here you’ll find information ranging from historical facts about the battle to how you can purchase tickets to the event. You can even sponsor an artillery unit or become a volunteer!

Location:

All Battle of Chancellorsville events will take place near the Spotsylvania Courthouse at the intersection of Brock Road and the Courthouse Bypass, on the W. J. Vakos Companies property:

9019 Old Battlefield Blvd Spotsylvania, VA 22553
 

Directions:

From I-95: Exit 126 to Southbound Rt 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway). Travel south approximately 1/4 mile. Turn right onto Southpoint Parkway. Travel approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Rt 208 (Courthouse Road). Proceed approximately 5 miles. Old Battlefield Blvd is on the left. Follow signs as appropriate.

Gate Times:

Tuesday-Friday: Special programs Saturday: 9 am to 9:30 pm; Battle at 4 pm Sunday: 9 am to 3:30 pm; Battle at 1:30 pm

Events:

Advance tickets can be purchased on this website starting October 24, 2012, as well as at the Spotsylvania Treasurer’s Office (9104 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553) and the Spotsylvania Visitor Center (4704 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407).
