Community Leaders Backing Brad

voteI read with admiration recent letters to the editor by Ms. Barbara Taylor, Mr. Perry Cabot, and Mr. Mike Dale, all endorsing the re-election of Brad Rosenberger to the Board of Supervisors for Culpeper County’s Jefferson District.  For years, these respected community leaders have been very involved in making Culpeper a better place to live and work.  I value their opinions and join them in stating that Brad Rosenberger has been a very effective Supervisor.   Having been a Constitutional Officer serving as Culpeper County Treasurer for 10 years, I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Rosenberger, sometimes daily, on financial and policy issues.  I can assure you that there is no better steward of the taxpayers’ dollars than Supervisor Rosenberger.

Brad is a fiscal conservative and has a good understanding of government accounting and the role of local government.  During his 28 years of service on the Board, he has done a great job of balancing tax revenue with meeting the needs for government services.  For almost three decades, he has faced complicated issues dealing with schools, land development, public safety, fire and rescue, and transportation; and he has always made his decisions based on what is best for the citizens and future of Culpeper County.

I have also known Brad personally for most of his life and have great respect for his commitment to Culpeper County.  A fifth generation farmer, he has done a great job of maintaining our rural nature by preserving agriculture while working to attract businesses to our community to provide tax revenue and employment opportunities.  Brad also understands the value of tourism and its potential for generating revenue and has worked hard to promote our many local attractions.

To ensure that Culpeper County meets the challenges of the future, we need the continued leadership of Supervisor Rosenberger.  I urge the citizens of the Jefferson District to vote to re-elect Brad Rosenberger on November 5th.
