About Erin

erin_gramppA resident of Spotsylvania County, Erin Grampp has been riding, showing, and training horses for over 30 years. She has won in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings as a junior, amateur, as well as professional. Her achievements in the equitation ring as a junior and adult amateur included American Interschool Riding Competition high point rider, VHSA medal finals, MHSA medal finals, the Mclay finals, USET finals, and Intercollegiate regional, zones, and nationals.

In the jumper ring, she piloted her mounts to Marshall & Sterling finals, zone championships, national championships, as well as a win at the Washington International Horse Show. Her hunter accomplishments include the Washington International Horse Show and year-end championships for the Virginia Horse Shows Association as well Battlefield Horse Shows Association. You will now see her showing her mounts and coaching her students towards many championships of their own.

erin2Erin is very active on the show circuit.  She maintains her USEF “r” license in hunter and equitation as well as her certification for instruction with the USHJA.  She is the show manager of the EKG Stables at Hill Valley Farm horse show series. EKG Stables students and mounts also compete at other local BHSA and VHSA associate shows as well as shows on the A circuit.

Erin is a 2002 graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA. She received her level 3 certification from the American Riding Instructors Association in 2004. Opening EKG Stables at Hill Valley Farm in 2004, she will continue to ride, train, and compete in the area for many years.

Erin is an USEF/USHJA certified trainer has a USEF ‘r’ judge’s card in Hunter and Hunt Seat Equitation from the USEF.
