The Greater Piedmont REALTORS® is pleased to announce its endorsement of Mr. Brad Rosenberger in the upcoming Culpeper County Board of Supervisors elections that will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Mr. Rosenberger is running for re-election in the Jefferson District.

Mr. Rosenberger has served on the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors for 32 years. He lives on a family farm that has been in operation since the 1800s, making him the 5th generation farmer working the land that now is a significant agriculture operation, which includes a seed business company as well as a trucking company.  As a small business owner, Mr. Rosenberger understands the needs of entrepreneurs. He wants to create additional jobs in the County, and values a high functioning economy for the role it plays in keeping Culpeper County stable and growing. He is concerned about the lack of reliable broadband throughout the County and wants to expand its availability, without competing against the private sector; he believes in Smart Growth; he believes that the Comprehensive Plan must be a fluid document that changes as the County evolves and grows; he wants the County’s village centers to thrive; and he values his role as a steward of County resources. Mr. Rosenberger expressed his desire to continue and enhance his relationship with GPR as a valued business organization in the community.

Through his tenure on the Board, Mr. Rosenberger is a thoughtful and collaborative decision maker who has lead the County toward a position of strength, all while working to maintain its unique character and community charm. It is clear that he loves his hometown.

The GPR endorsement specifically was based on in-depth written surveys that covered a broad range of issues relevant to the housing and real estate industries, the business community in general and the quality of life in Culpeper County and the Piedmont Region. Specific topics included housing opportunity goals and policies; economic growth and economic development; broadband enhancement and expansion; the County’s Comprehensive Plan; land use and zoning; Smart Growth; and County infrastructure needs, along with how best to pay for that infrastructure.

In addition to the written questionnaires, candidates participated in 45-minute individual, personal interviews conducted by GPR’s Public Policy Committee, a highly respected Association all-volunteer Committee that is comprised of well-informed and well-connected REALTOR® professionals who are engaged at all levels of government.

Endorsements include campaign contributions from the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) of Virginia. Funding and endorsement decisions are based on support of the housing and real estate industries only; political party affiliation is not considered.
