Dear Culpeper County Residents of the Jefferson District:

I had the privilege of serving as the Culpeper County Attorney. During that time, I got to know, work for—and with, Supervisor Brad Rosenberger. Brad is honest, hardworking, thoughtful, and deliberate in his actions and votes. For the many of you who have been represented by Brad Rosenberger over the years, you already know this.

Brad has played a crucial role in Culpeper County’s success while remaining mindful of his role and duty as steward of the taxpayers. Like you, Brad believes in small government, good governance, low taxes, and individual rights.

While Brad has served on the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors, Culpeper County has attracted international and national businesses, increased local employment, and fostered the growth of agri-businesses that attract visitors who supplement the local tax base.

But serving on the Board of Supervisors is not limited to addressing big projects, nor concerns that come up only periodically. Supervisors are implicitly connected to the successful day-today operations of the county government, including the deployment and management of key personnel. Brad Rosenberger successfully does both. Possessing business acumen that he developed over decades while operating and growing his family farming operations, Brad brings balance to those decisions that impact county employees-as a group or on an individual basis.

It seems that a day does not pass without hearing that America is at a crossroad. That may be true in some communities but not in the Jefferson District. Brad Rosenberger is a respected leader, and he serves his district without thought for personal or political gain or accolades. Brad is independent. Brad is not afraid to stand up for (or up to ) others when it is politically unpopular to do so … yet he remains responsive to his constituents and committed to his love for Culpeper County and its citizens.

For these reasons, I enthusiastically endorse Brad Rosenberger’s re-election to the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors.

Respectfully,

Sandra R. Robinson
Culpeper County Attorney 2012-2015

If you were born in Culpeper you are familiar with what I am about to say. If you moved here, you did so for any number of reasons, but likely, the main reason is that Culpeper is a special place.Culpeper is special because throughout the years, the citizens of Culpeper voted with particular conviction for candidates whose interests lie in what is good for the county. Candidates who cooperate with each other toward that singular goal of keeping Culpeper the “place that everyone talks about”. That is the chief reason that the county still has a pristine landscape, a bustling economy, low taxes, good schools, and a top-rated downtown like no other.

Brad Rosenberger is a 5th generation farmer who has dedicated himself to keeping agriculture, in its ever-evolving form, a viable part of the overall economy. He is a businessman who understands the implication of taxes on the citizens. He is a father and a grandfather who champions every form of education including vocational training. Brad is totally dedicated to the principles of governance and fully embraces the notion that when the board votes, the act is sacrosanct.

I have known Brad Rosenberger for nearly 20 years and served as an employee of the Culpeper for almost 17 years, 15 as County Administrator. I can’t say that we were always in agreement on every issue but, I can say that he always took the time to listen to my position. During all that time, I observed that in meetings, he was usually the last to speak. When he did speak, he made mention of all the other discussion that took place and presented a clear, reasoned approach as his position. He usually accompanied it with a recollection of history that framed the context in a way that only vast experience can provide.

Brad does what he does because he is passionate about safe-guarding this special place called Culpeper Virginia.
